Pastor Letter for January 2012
Dear Members and Friends,
Happy New Year and praise to the name of the Lord. Hope you all had a very good Christmas celebrations with family and friends with lots of blessings. Our church family also had a very good community out reaches in Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Wollongong and Wagga Wagga. It was a great blessing to have SanPi and Chaw Su Khin joining us and both of them were very blessed by friends in Australia especially BCC family. The Lord has been wonderful to us all by his provision, protection, presence and peace to us all. Now happy and wonderful New Year 2012, this year we all have every reason to count and give the blessings the Lord has given to us. Theme for 2012 of BCC is " Be Faithful" base on the scripture 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 " So then , men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful."
Faithfulness is essential for our Christian, living , growth, and witness base on loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Without faithfulness faith is nothing more than a story and unpractical. The Bible is full of faithful people who trust in the Lord and God put trust in them to complete His mission. The greatest example for us is Jesus Christ our Lord who has been sent by the father who loves us with unconditional love. Jesus showed His faithfulness by obedient to His father and paid His life for us on the cross. Jesus didn't give us praying, Jesus didn't give up living in a holy life, and Jesus didn't give up loving people including His enemies. Jesus also spent His time with His disciples and His family well and He didn't miss spending time with His Father in Heaven.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ. The coming back of our Lord is very near. Therefor let us be faithful to the calling of God to live in a Holy life. Let us keep on worshipping the Lord, let us keep on evangelizing, let us keep on loving and learning as His disciples and don't give up in serving Him for this is what the Lord wants to see when He returns. Be faithful for the one who created you and calling you is a faithful one. Have a very Blessed New Year. God bless you all.
In Christ,
Pastor Shane Khin (Burmese Christian Church Sydney)
