Pastor Letter for January 2009

Dear Friends and Members,

Wishing a very Happy New Year 2009. Thank the Lord forever more for 2008 which was a history now and a new calendar year has arrived. God is faithful and just and merciful to save us and caring for our daily needs, monthly needs and yearly needs. This year theme for our church is “Trust and Obey” 2009.

Change is part of our lives, people, climate, economy and politics, the world and of course our body image change. However we need to be aware of the Lord in our changing circumstances that our God is trustworthy and faithful to us and He wants us to have a closer relationship with us because of His unchanging love towards us. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. First certain thing about us according to this particular verse is that loving God with all our heart and mind and soul will bring a sure result which is “All things work together for good”.

The second part is about the calling we have in the Lord. We need to be sure of our calling, the Lord our God always wants to use each one of us to fulfill his great commission. Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. If you are called to preach the gospel be faithful to do so. If you are called to support to those who preach the gospel please be faithful to do so. If you are called to go, live, give, serve and love or pray to fulfill the great commission please do so with the Love for the Lord. Nothing can go wrong with you if you trust and obey the Lord Jesus because He will be with you in all that you do. May your plans and prayers in agreement with God’s purpose in your life so that 2009 will be the most fulfilling year, the most successful year, the most joyful year for you and your family. God bless you all and have a blessed year 2009.

Proverbs 3:5, 6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight”.
