Pastor Letter for November 2017
Dear Members and Friends in the family of the Lord Jesus,
Welcome to November 2017, praise the Lord for His grace and mercies upholding our faith and love for one another. Sydney is the best place to be at this time of the year, beautiful jacaranda covered all over Sydney with royal purple color, nice temperature and just enough rain fall to bloom more flowers helps us to sing “How great Thou art”, youth Sunday celebration and women group short bible story competition on the last Sunday went with lots of excitement and joyful celebration of God’s presence and the wonder of having fellowship with one another. Holy land tour team returned with great experience and wonderful spiritual testimonies from all team members, I personally appreciate for all brothers and sisters who brought back souvenirs from there. All cell groups are resuming and please keep on praying for those who are doing HSC exams. The farewell services for Aunty Jean on the 7th was very moving with mixed emotions sad because of her physical presence will be dearly missed but thank God she is saved and by faith she is now in her heavenly home with the Lord. The following week farewell service for Uncle Roston Po was houseful and burial service at Central Coast went beautifully, Uncle Roston will be dearly missed especially his singing.
This month let us focus on saying “Yes” to Jesus and “No” to sin. The yes-No vote for same sex marriage in Australia is quite important for churches, social values and the generation to come. Therefor let’s remember the words of Jesus Christ our Lord. Luke 17:25-27 (NIV) 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark.”
We will notice lots of rejection and ignorance of the truth of the Bible in today’s society. When you talk about many things or anybody the world will say Yeh, ok but as soon as you talk about Jesus you will experience rejection change of subject. The Bible is so true its recorded our relationship with all creations and the creator of the whole universe. God reveals Himself in all His creations with signs and wonders, order in time and structures, connectivity and love. When sin came into mankind all creations shifted from order to disorder because man starting to take the role of God with selfish desires and associate with death, pain and suffering, however when Jesus came into this world He offers life, healing and eternity by paying the penalty of sin. As the scripture says “John 10:10 (NIV)10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. Lets say “No” to sin and Satan the thief, and let’s say “Yes” to Jesus as He offers life and abundant blessed life for us to stay tune with our creator and all His creations. Amen.
